Doosan Bobcat and Mortenson have announced significant philanthropic investments to launch fundraising efforts toward a new Center for Engineering and Computational Sciences at 乐虎电子. 两人都承诺出资500万美元, 分别, to boost early fundraising momentum and inspire others to get involved in the project that will transform NDSU’s 工程学院.
These dual gifts represent a landmark moment in the 工程学院’s history and provide critical leadership gift support needed to pursue raising up to $30 million for the project. 总共14美元.5 million has been raised to date. The private funds will be used to match the North Dakota Legislature’s appropriation of $59 million for the new Center which is designed to put engineering “on display” at NDSU, 推进实践, interdisciplinary engineering and computational sciences curriculum, 研究, and learning to develop technical talent for tomorrow’s workforce needs.
Students excel at annual construction competition
The competition helps students learn how to work under pressure and work as a team by placing them in real-life project management situations.
工程学院 celebrates scholarship recipients, donors
Thanks to generous gifts from donors, the 工程学院 was able to award students more than $2.到2023年将达到500万.
杰克Joraanstad, a 2012 computer engineering graduate, is a great example of how NDSU can give you the skills you need to create a successful business.
NDSU is one of just 3 universities in the six-state upper Midwest region designated as an R1 研究 institution by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. Carnegie’s R1 distinction is its highest classification and is presented to only the top 研究 institutions in the country. 了解更多
支持多样性
The NDSU 工程学院 is proud to have received a Bronze Award from the American Society for Engineering Education Diversity Recognition Program. The honor means the NDSU 工程学院 is among the nation’s leaders in inclusive excellence.
Knowing that we are far better together, we’ve made diversity and inclusivity core values of the 工程学院. While this award is a recognition of some of our recent progress, 更重要的是, it’s a reminder of the work we still have to do.

向工程领域的女性致敬
As part of a special project for Women's History Month, we highlighted some of our distinguished female graduates.
By putting a spotlight on these female engineering role models we hope to encourage more young girls and women to pursue engineering degrees.
建立伙伴关系
The NDSU 工程学院 is empowering Native American students to pursue degrees in engineering.
We're featured in the new documentary 建立伙伴关系 in STEM Education. The film highlights NDSU and 16 other colleges and universities that participated in the National Science Foundation's Pre-Engineering Education Collaboratives.
的伙伴关系, 由部落机构领导, provided each with the resources needed to expand their STEM curriculum and support students as they transitioned from a two-year program to four-year programs and beyond.
We're proud to be part of this important effort to dramatically increase the number of Native American engineers.
